IT was an evening to remember asthree classes from Huish Episcopi Primary School put on a performance for parents and friends of The Nutcracker.
The show took place on Friday January 22 and was created during last term’s dance lessons.
The children of Kingsmoor, Isle and Sedgemoor classes explored the themes of the story with their dance teacher, Lou Barrett.
The production was a combination of the story written by E Hoffman and the more famous version created for classical ballet, set to Tchaikovsky’s musical score.
The children’s interpretation was a creative combination of dance, narration and mime, staged at Huish Sixth auditorium so everyone had the experience of performing under lights and to a professional sound system.
The auditorium was packed for the two performances.
