PEOPLE are being asked to pull out all the stops to clean up Taunton Deane ahead of the Queen's 90th birthday on April 21.
Taunton Deane MP Rebecca Pow is calling on schools, businesses and community groups to take part in the Clean for the Queen initiative over the weekend of March 4 to 6.
Individuals and groups across the country are joining Britain's largest litter pick.
Ms Pow said: “This is a great opportunity to make sure we get Taunton Deane neat and tidy in time for the Queen’s official 90th birthday.
"Although the big litter pick will take place over March 4, 5 and 6, people can get involved whenever they like.
"It is the support and action people are taking, and not the dates, which are important.
"I really hope people in Taunton Deane will consider getting involved so together we can help mark this momentous occasion.”
