A COUPLE of raccoons spotted in woodland have been reunited with their owner.
One of the two animals was captured on video by Martin Worrall among the trees at Ash Priors, near Bishops Lydeard - check out the film at countygazette.co.uk The raccoon was happy enough for Mr Worrall, of Cotford St Luke, to film him as he scouted around the undergrowth and even scaled a tree.
But he didn't get on so well with Mr Worrall's dog and squared up to him a couple of times.
The owner of the two animals - who says they are coatimundi raccoons, which are native to South America - went looking for them after seeing the video on our website.
The man, who has asked not to be named, found one of them on Ash Priors Common and the other just down the road in Halse.
He said: "They'd been missing for three days and this is a happy ending - although they didn't like being caught and gave me a nasty bite."
