TAUNTON Deane MP Rebecca Pow is busy composing a song for her daughter Verity's sixth birthday today (Monday, February 29).
Ms Pow has already bought a card with a big '6' on - but she won't get to see Verity on the day as the youngster is away celebrating with her friends.
Verity, an online beauty writer for Feel Unique in London, was actually born in 1992, 24 years ago, but she was a Leap Year Day baby who was delivered at Taunton's Musgrove Park Hospital on February 29.
"We always make a bit of a fuss because it's such a special day," said Ms Pow.
"She gets a lot of attention and her friends usually go to town.
"We've done various silly things - when she was four in 2006 we threw a surprise children's tea party with jelly and ice cream and everyone in fancy dress."
Ms Pow was asked to record a song which she sent to one of her daughter's friends to be played during her celebrations.
Verity had been due on Valentine's Day but arrived 15 days later when she was an emergency delivery on the palindromic date 29/2/92 - the same forwards and backwards.
She is a former student at Thurlbear Primary School and King's College, Taunton.
