A RESTAURANT has given full-time jobs to five people who had been unemployed long-term.

Toby Carvery signed them up for roles ranging from working behind the bar to in the kitchen.

The jobs were part of a link up with the Taunton office of Campbell Page, which finds volunteering roles in the community for people on Jobseeker's Allowance on community work placement before attempting to get them into full-time work.

Andrew Ley, of Campbell Page, said: "Some of the people we take on have low confidence and self-esteem and it's always rewarding to see them into fill-time employment.

"We're delighted that Toby Carvery has agreed to take these five people on - they are all over the moon."
