HEADWAY Somerset held the annual Dragon Boat Race on the River Tone in Taunton today, (June 5).
A total of ten teams entered, including one from Headway Somerset - who support people with brain injuries.
Samantha Budd from Headway Somerset said: "It's another really great turn out we're really pleased.
"We've got ten teams entered this year and this is the fourth year we've run the event.
"It is one of our main fundraising events throughout the year and teams entered can choose to either donate all of the money to us or split it between Headway Somerset and a charity of their choice.
"Last year we raised £18,000 so it would be great if we could get around that amount again this year."
The first team get ready to set off
Plenty of crowds turned out to support the event, watching from the sides and as the boats set off from the bridge by Morrisons.
There was a chance to get your face painted, find out more about the charity and teams taking part, and grab a bite to eat.
Charity Mind Taunton and West Somerset also took part in the race for the fourth consecutive year.
CEO Andy Pritchard said: "It's always a really great day, there's some people in our team who have taken part in the race every year, there's always demand for a seat on the boat.
"We're hoping to raise £2,000."
