SCORES of people paused to remember a teenager killed in a road crash five years ago.
Family, friends, supporters and members of the emergency services geathered at Blackrbook Way, Taunton, on the fifth anniversary of 13-year-old Amy Hofmeister's death.
As well as remembering Amy, who died when she was hit by a speeding motorist racing his girlfriend in a different car, the event was a tribute to all road death victims.
People broke into a minute's applause, while others unable to attend lit candles in the popular Bishop Fox's School student's honour.
The evening was organised by Amy's mother, Jane Hofmeister, who set up the Think Amy charity to educate people about the dangers of speeding in the wake of her daughter's death.
