RECENTLY, I got caught up in the traffic on the M5 following the multi vehicle accident.
As I was only one mile away from Taunton I decided to cut off there and go the back roads.
I was horrified to notice, how many vans and cars were using the hard shoulder to do the same thing. Of course the hard shoulder was then blocked by up to 50 vehicles.
If an emergency vehicle had tried to get to the accident it would not have been able to do so.
How very rude and inconsiderate of these drivers. The hard shoulder is for breakdowns and emergency vehicles.
By blocking the hard shoulder, you blocked any emergency vehicle that may have been needed Please think.
Someone may have lost a life because of your actions
