A MIDDLE-aged man suffered facial injuries and needed hospital treatment following an assault outside a pub.
The incident happened as the victim, a 46-year-old man, and the suspected attacker were leaving the Ship Aground in Quay Street, Minehead.
An 18-year-old man was arrested following the incident at 00.35am on Monday, August 15.
He has since been released on police bail.
Minehead-based PC Jeff Trimmings said: "We would like anyone who saw the assault to get in touch.
"The incident happened after a good natured and well attended public event, so we think it is very likely people will have been out of the street at that time.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting 5216180682."
