THANK you for your latest book on Somerset (Somerset: A Photographic Journey) with such wonderful photographs.
Congratulations must go to the photographers for such excellent work which reminded an elderly Tauntonian, now living in Hampshire, of happy memories.

Please note though, that I believe the church bells were rung on one occasion during World War Two, to commemorate the Battle of el Alamein, on the orders of Mr Churchill.
