A WELLINGTON man who went missing in Steart Marshes on Novmber 13 has been found. 

Mark Phillips, 56 was found near the Steart Marshes area on November 14.

Police, RNLI and BARB were all involved in a late-night search after 9pm on Sunday for the Wellington man in Burnham-On-Sea after his car was found unattended in the Steart Marshes.

The police began the investigation and Burnham-On-Sea Coastguards and members from BARB Search and Rescue were called out to carry out a search of the shoreline. 

Two RNLI lifeboats were launched to search the river banks and tideline towards Hinkley Point. 

A set of footprints was said to be discovered in the mud of the river. The coastguard helicopter was flown around the area in search for the man. 

Crews stood down at 2am and the search continued on Monday morning.

Mr Phillips was found on Monday afternoon.
