A BREWERY that went into administration last month has been rescued after an investor stepped in to buy the business and assets.
Quantock Brewery director Cheryl Ford said it will be business as usual at the Bishops Lydeard firm.
A post on the brewery's Facebook page says: "We are extremely pleased to announce that following a short period of administration the business and assets of QB LTD have been purchased.
"This fresh investment will protect and build on Quantock Brewery's success and will enable us to implement a large range of exciting plans for our future.
"May we take this opportunity to give our heart felt thanks to all whom have sent us messages & emails this past few weeks, we have been truly overwhelmed by your support and kind words.
"Heres to the future with a super-excited QB Team.

The brewery, launched in 2007, announced it had gone into administration on January 18 and vowed to continue trading as it searched for a buyer to "take the business forward".
Ms Ford blamed the "challenging industry" for Quantock's problems but said the firm was determined to carry on trading as normal.
And there are hopes plenty of Quantock - which brews beers such as Quantock Stag, Quantock Ale, Wills Neck and Sunraker - beer will be drunk on Saturday when the firm is screening the Wales v England match live from its Broadgauge Business Park premises.
