A TAUNTON primary school is saying goodbye to a beloved member of staff after more than 20 years at the school.
Teaching assistant Doreen Cousins retired from her role St James Church School on Friday.
The children gathered to say goodbye to popular Doreen, including her grandson.
Doreen was once a student at the school and so was her daughter.
Assistant Headteacher, Fiona O'Connor, said: "Doreen has worked with hundreds of children in her many years at St James Church School and is very much part of the school family. We wish her a relaxing and well-earned retirement."
