A HEARD of sheep were freed from a ditch after getting stuck near a bridge.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue crews were called to Knapp Bridge to reports around 30 sheep were stuck in a rhyne.
Two engines from Taunton along with the Specialist Rescue Team from Bridgwater were mobilised at around 8.30am this morning (February 23).
On arrival crews confirmed there were approximately 30 sheep stuck in the rhyne and the Specialist Rescue Team donned water safety gear and rescued the sheep from the rhyne.
