A WELLINGTON accountancy firm is holding training courses to help businesses when new changes announced by HMRC come in.

Tax Shop Accountants Wellington are offering QuickBook training courses for when the Making Tax Digitial plans come in next year.

The sessions are not free, and have to be paid for.

It means many businesses will have to keep accounting records via approved accounting software and smartphone apps by law.

A spokesperson for the company said: "QuickBooks is the ideal platform to do this. Wherever you are, as long as you have an internet connection, you can work on the move.

"QuickBooks’ mobile phone app allows you to use the camera function to upload the receipts digitally into the program and manage your business finances wherever you are.

"Tax Shop Accountants Wellington are a Platinum QuickBooks business and hold training sessions on a regular basis with their QuickBooks qualified trainers.

"The sessions are half day courses and are limited to a maximum of seven people to enable a personalised tuition.

"The courses are available to members of the general public, as well as our clients.

"There are two levels of training available; Getting started with QuickBooks and More Advanced Techniques, dependent on your current ability."
