TWO companies have signed contracts to move into Tangier Central, Taunton's refurbished office complex.

Recruitment agency Eden Brown, part of nGAGE, and public service union UNISON have both taken ten-year-leases at the site, on Castle Street.

Eden Brown’s move to Tangier Central follows nGAGE’s recent acquisition of Taunton-based construction recruitment specialist SetSquare and represents the first time the brand has operated a base in the town.

UNISON is relocating its South West branch office from its current location at The Crescent, in Taunton, which is now on the open market for sale.

Both occupiers are due to move to the revitalised office buildings this month.

The two buildings that together comprise Tangier Central have been undergoing extensive modernisation in a £1.5 million scheme.

Work to upgrade the buildings to date has included the installation of a contemporary, glazed entrance continuing through to a sleek, new reception area.

Landscape improvements, including external seating areas and a contemporary planting scheme, have also been completed.

Agent Nigel Hatfield, director at Hatfield White, said: “It’s with huge excitement that we look forward to welcoming Tangier Central’s new occupiers this spring.

“It has always been our aim to attract organisations from diverse sectors and these deals with national recruitment agency Eden Brown and trade union body UNISON demonstrate Tangier Central’s broad appeal.

“As well as confirming our new occupiers, we are receiving a healthy level of enquiries from businesses across the private sector, and, in particular, from the technology sector.

“This keen interest is a reflection of Tangier Central’s multiple offering of quality work space with generous car parking provision in a central location in a growing town.”
