MUSGROVE Park Hospital has been given a boost worth more than £1,719 thanks to fundraising by Bridgwater Cricket Club.
The money, a total or £1,719, was raised at Bridgwater Cricket Club's golf day and a skittles evening held at the Lamb Inn at Spaxton and will go toward Musgrove Park Hospital's ward nine.
The fundraising was done in the memory of well-known Bridgwater solicitor and sportsman Kit Barrington.
Kit was a five-time Somerset squash, played cricket for Bridgwater Cricket Club, rugby for Bridgwater and Albion, and had played tennis at junior Wimbledon, as well as being a regular golfer at Enmore Park.
He died in 2010, aged 66, following a long battle with illness.
