TRAVELLERS have moved onto the Gateway Park and Ride site at Ruishton.
They are reported to have driven their vans and caravans onto the site last night.
A county council spokesman said there are currently no disruptions to the park and ride services.
The authority took out a High Court injunction last August banning travellers from camping on the plot, which should make it easier to remove them - and could results in vehicles being seized.
A spokesperson for Somerset County Council said: “The park and ride is open as usual and there is no disruption to services.
“Formal court proceedings started yesterday and we will be seeking court powers tomorrow (Thursday) to remove the encampment.
"The injunction obtained last year means we have been able to take these legal steps immediately, rather than after a notice period as was the case before”.
