THERE was something for everyone as visitors young and old descended on Thurlbear Primary School on Saturday for the annual PTA May Fair.
Whether they were ‘rolling up’ for the coconut shy or buying that special something for the home or garden, it was a wonderful way to support the school and raise funds for the PTA.
The emphasis was on good old-fashioned fun, but over on the skittles the competition was intense as Thurlbear pupil Phoebe managed a score that not even head teacher Steve Gillan could beat.
Entertainment was provided by the school country dancing team and a performance from PQA Taunton, while some local alpacas also made a guest appearance this year.
PTA chairman Shaun Merrell said “It was a fantastic turnout and we’d like to thank everyone who helped make the day a success – it was a real team effort.
"We raised £3,000 for the school and that money will make a real difference to Thurlbear children present and future."
