I WOULD like to complain about the Fire Brigade making me late for a doctor’s appointment at Lisieux Way Doctors Surgery on Tuesday, June 20, when I was delayed in a long line of traffic because one lane of the road outside the fire station was closed while firemen were cutting trees down in front of the station, parking their Simon Snorkel out in the road!
Shouldn’t they be doing something more worthwhile? Have they right to close the road and then direct traffic themselves? What would happen if they had a call up whilst they were doing this? How much has this cost me as a taxpayer?
This appeared to be very dangerous as tree branches were falling as cars were passing by.
I had travelled the road several times in previous days and there was no prior notice of any work being carried out on that day and possible delays caused.
