FIREFIGHTERS are battling a barn blaze in West Somerset.
Crews were sent to the incident in Kingsland Lane, Brompton Regis at 4.08pm.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokemsan said: "On arrival crews confirmed that the barn, measuring approximately 60 metres by 25 metres and containing approximately 50 tonnes of hay and straw, was well alight.
"A compressed air foam jet is currently being used to protect nearby properties."
At 5.08pm firefighters confirmed that one barn well alight.
Crews are currently carrying out a watching brief to protect the cattle sheds and with one line of compressed air foam to protect silage.
