A TOP chef is hoping to open a restaurant in a former charity shop.
Tim Zekki has applied for planning permission to change the use of 4 High Street, Wiveliscombe, from retail to a restaurant on the ground floor and basement.
The premises was previously home to a St Margaret's Hospice charity shop.
Duende was originally a pop up restaurant around the Chilterns and further afield.
Tim Zekki made his name hosting 'secret suppers' in his delis in Twickenham and Isleworth, where he was a London finalist in UKTV’s Gary Rhodes’ Local Food Heroes.
The planning application has been lodged with Taunton Deane Borough Council.
