A PRIMARY school in Taunton is celebrating after being praised in its latest Ofsted report.

Bishop Henderson Primary School, Henderson Close, was rated as ‘good’ in the report which was published on November 20 following an inspection that took place at the end of October.

The report highlighted the school’s high aspirations, the leadership team, and partnerships with parents.

Edward Gregory, headteacher, said: “One of the school’s great strengths is our partnership with families and the report reflects the way we work together to make Bishop Henderson the successful and remarkable school that it is.

“This report, combined with our Outstanding SIAMS church inspection and tremendous key stage two results prove that high academic standards can be achieved at the same time as delivering an exciting curriculum and looking after the children’s spiritual and social development through our strong Christian ethos.”
