THE Taunton and Minehead areas are being warned to expect snow and ice at the end of the week.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of severe weather between 0.05am on Friday and 6pm on Saturday.

Temperatures will dip to 1 or 2degsC and are only expected to peak at 5 degsC over the two days.

A yellow warning means severe weather is possible and could cause possible traffic delays or disruption to day to day activities.

A Met Office spokesman said: "We are monitoring the developing weather situation and yellow means keep an eye on the latest forecast and be aware that the weather may change or worsen, leading to disruption of your plans in the next few days."

Meanwhile, make the most of the next two days - temperatures tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday are likely to reach around 13 degsC.
