BRIDGWATER and Taunton College has been nominated in the Times Education Supplement for its apprenticeship schemes.
The college has been shortlisted for the Apprenticeship Programme of the Year for its partnership with British Gymnastics.
The college previously scooped the FE College of the Year award in 2016.
The partnership sees British Gymnastics lining up the next generation of club coaches, managers and owners in an apprenticeship programme at the college. It allows aspiring gymnasts, as well as those reaching the end of their athletic career, to be trained as coaches and instructors.
Bridgwater and Taunton College principal, Andy Berry, said: “We are proud of the achievements of all our apprentices, and delighted to have been shortlisted for this award. The partnership with British Gymnastics is hugely exciting, and it would be fantastic recognition for our students and for the college as a whole if we were to win.”
