A SOUTH West food chain is hoping to open a new Taunton branch this spring.
Hubbox applied for planning permission for the old Roots Cafe site in the town, and hopes to be opening later this year.
The chain currently has restaurants in St Ives, Truro, Pentewan Sands, Exeter, Bristol and Plymouth - it considers itself to be a South West family.
The menu features a range of burgers, hotdogs and fries and a selection of drinks.
Founder Richard Boon said: “Taunton has a thriving high street but with limited casual dining, our research shows that we will be well received in Taunton with our all day dining menu and extensive drinks list.
"We can’t wait to get in there, start knocking walls down, get the kitchen in and open the doors.”
Hubbox recently won the Bristol Good Food Award for best chain.
The application, for the properties on 27 and 28 North Street, was submit to Taunton Deane Borough Council for consideration. No decision is currently listed on its website.
