A TAUNTON delivery driver working for a pizza giant has been suspended after disgusting images of a car were taken.
Hannah King saw the man in uniform get into this car with a delivery outside the Station Road branch of Dominos.
She was disgusted by her findings, which include a Costa cup full of cigarette butts and food remains.
The delivery driver's car.
Miss King said: "It's vile.
"I saw him in uniform getting in and out of it from delivering.
"Food is transported in this car, people could get ill.
"It has put me off Domino's, that's for sure."
She posted the photos on her Twitter page to inform the pizza giant of her discovery.
Louise Butler, a spokesperson for Domino’s said: "Our delivery drivers are expected to maintain a high level of vehicle cleanliness at all times, and whilst an isolated incident, this is clearly wholly unacceptable.
"The colleague concerned has been suspended with immediate effect pending an investigation and we’ve been in touch with Ms. King to offer our apologies, which she has accepted.
"We’ve also reminded the store of the importance of maintaining brand standards with regular car spot checks to prevent a reoccurrence.”
