HEAVY rain could bring flooding to parts of Taunton and Somerset as forecasters issue a weather warning for the South West.
The Met Office’s ‘yellow’ warning for rain will be in place until 11.55pm with a deluge expected late morning and early this afternoon.
The Met Office states on its website: “Rain, heavy at times, developing on Wednesday morning becomes heavier and more widespread during the afternoon before clearing north eastwards during Wednesday night.
“Bus and train services will probably be affected with journey times taking longer whilst spray and flooding on roads may also affect some journeys. Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely.”
With low pressure centred to the west of the UK, winds will strengthen across all areas today. Gale force gusts are likely in the west #WindyWednesday pic.twitter.com/VHArzq8aE8
