A SERIES of indecent exposures in a Taunton suburb has prompted a police appeal
Police have described a man they would like to speak to after a man exposed himself to two teenage girls near a Taunton primary school.
An appeal has now been launched by police after three reports in two months of a man exposing himself to girls using a pathway in the Severn Drive area of Blackbrook.
The most recent report came on Saturday, April 7, when two teenage girls were walking along the small footpath behind the Tesco Express store towards Blackbrook Primary School at about 9.30pm when the man exposed himself.
He was described as being white, aged in his 20s, skinny build, 5ft 11ins tall, with short brown hair, possibly facial stubble, wearing a blue short-sleeved top and blue jeans.
Taunton urban and rural team sergeant Dan Bishop said: “I’d like to reassure the local community we are doing all we can to trace this man and deal with him.
“We have carried out extra high-visibility patrols in and around the area and are continuing to do so.
“We’re also carrying out extensive enquiries as part of our investigation.
“I would urge anyone who might recognise the description of the man or has any information at all to call us on 101 and quote reference 5218074087.”
