APPOINTMENT: Alex Pope, the new manager of Minehead AFC.
MINEHEAD AFC are delighted to announce the appointment of Alex Pope as their new first team manager.
Pope, a former youth, Under-18 and Reserve team player, comes with extensive coaching qualifications, and on his appointment announced that he had achieved a lifetime ambition.
He has clear plans to not only take the first team back to the Premier Division of the Somerset County League, but also to help develop a successful youth system.
The club would like to thank Paul Newbold, who resigned at the end of the season due to personal circumstances after three years in charge.
Mark Vickers, club treasurer, was also pleased to announce a further two-year deal with main sponsor “Beaver Ford”.
