THUNDERSTORMS could bring an end to searing temperatures in Somerset within the next ten days, forecasters say.
Highs of 30 degrees Celsius are expected for today, tomorrow and Saturday but cloud is forecast for Sunday – and it looks like it’s here to stay.

According to the Weather Channel and the Met Office, thundery showers are also on the way.
The Met Office’s regional forecast for the next few days states: “Today Once again there will be sunny skies throughout the day with an easterly breeze. Feeling very warm too with high pollen and UV levels. In the late afternoon and evening it may turn cloudier for a time.

“Friday will be another dry day with little if any cloud. Feeling very warm in towns and cities but a little more comfortable around the coast.
“The outlook for Saturday to Monday will be largely dry, fine and very warm, however it will start to feel more humid and by the end of the weekend there is a small chance of isolated thunderstorm."
