A 130-ACRE solar farm! Looking at the photo accompanying your article (County Gazette, June 7), suggests at least 75 per cent - perhaps much more - of this is currently producing crops.
Solar panels are a great idea, whether for heating water or generating electricity, but there are plenty of other locations where they can be installed.

Crops cannot be grown on any old piece of land - but that land can be used for solar panels, as should all future industrial and commercial building.
Letting these developments on good quality agricultural land is short-sighted and opportunistic.
