SOMERSET has gone football mad ahead of England's semi-final match against Croatia.

Gareth Southgate and the Three Lions have already won the hearts and minds of the nation but must overcome Croatia and France if they are going to end 52 years of hurt.

Over the last few days, Taunton pubs have cashed in on the hot weather as football fans have piled in to watch England play.

As England's semi final match looms residents and businesses across Somerset have been showing their support for England.

Firefighters from Burnham Fire Station lay down outside the fire station to spell out 'It's Coming Home'.

Somerset County Gazette:

A spokesman for Burnham Fire Station, said: "The crew at Burnham-On-Sea are right behind our England Football team but whilst everyone's enjoying the match don't take your eye off the ball - if you have a drink, don't drive and enjoy a takeaway rather than cooking!

"Let's stay safe and enjoy the Semi-Final!! #ItsComingHome."

In Frome someone got creative with the town signs and changed them to 'It's Coming Home'.

Burnham and Highbridge Town Council and The Castle in Taunton are flying their St George's flag to show their support for the team.
