A NEW food waste and plastic reducing shop has opened in Taunton.
Kate Robertson, 36, and Pete Hope, 39 opened the doors to Lesser Litter today (July 28) to the delight of local residents.
The store on Paul Street sells an array of dry goods, including nuts, pulses and spices, as well as coffee beans, loose leaf tea and cereals.
Kate said she is excited for the store's future.

"We have only just opened and its so nice to see people coming in and having a look around," Kate said.
"We have had a lot of interest in the store, its something that people in Taunton will use.
"We have started with some products and its just going to be a case of trial and error to see what people like.
"We are excited for the future."
Customers spoke positively about the store and enjoyed looking at all of the products it has to offer.
One customer, who did not want to be named, said: "This store is great, its something that Taunton needs.
"We all need to be more responsible and make better choices when buying products so we don't hurt the environment."
