A TREE house to be used as holiday accommodation could be built in Spaxton.

A planning application has been submitted for the development at Roundwood Farm, in Radlet Road.

The application says it would allow the 'erection of a tree house to be used as holiday accommodation'.

It adds: "The idea is to build a glamping style tree house for holiday let use.

"There is ample parking in the disused quarry for parking and there is immediate access to public footpaths and rights of way from the site.

"There will be two means of access from the parking at the base of the quarry to the tree house; one is a high spiral staircase with a rope bridge while the second will be a ramped path through the undergrowth to stairs up to the floor level.

"Once this is completed there will be experiments with block and tackle to create a manual lifting platform for less able bodied access – this is due to the main level of the tree house being suitable for disabled access."
