THE number of women seeking emergency contraception in Taunton has dropped in the past fortnight.
Sexual health advisors fear the women may not realise the Contraceptive and Sexual Health Service is operating as normal from temporary premises.
It moved from Middle Street to Ivor House, in Tower Lane, five weeks ago.
The service will relocate to larger premises in The Crescent later this year.
A spokesman said: "A recent drop in the numbers of women seeking emergency contraception over the last two weeks alerted staff to the possibility that some woman may either be experiencing difficulty finding the temporary office or being inconvenienced by going to their GP surgery or pharmacist."
Sexual Health Nurse Practitioner Julie Gray said: "We're eagerly anticipating our move to new premises, but we appreciate that there could be some people who have not heard about the temporary office move or are choosing instead to get emergency contraception from their GP surgery, pharmacist or other sexual health clinics."
