BUDDING young Trescothicks and Caddicks from the Fairwater area of Taunton are going to be testing their cricketing skills against police in the town.
Police and Police Community Support Officers will be donning their flannels for the 20/20 encounter being hosted by Taunton's Wyvern club from 6pm on Wednesday, September 5.
The match follows a similar game involving the Galmington Massive in Taunton last month which proved a success.
Children aged between 14 and 16 from the Staplegrove Road and Cheddon Road area will be taking part in the event which is being supported by the Sports World chain and the Rowbarton Local Action Team.
PCSO Dave Schofield, who has been involved in organising the match, said: "The youngsters in the area are keen for a game and thanks to the Wyvern club for hosting the match.
"A presentation and buffet will follow when all the players and the Rowbarton Local Action Team will get a chance to replay their shocking shot or stunning catch they might have made."
Spectators are welcome to attend the game at the Wyvern club from 6pm.
