ENTRANTS are being urged to sign up now for the prestigious Taunton Young Musician of the Year Competition.
The contest offers cash prizes and an opportunity for the winner to play in concert next year with the Taunton Sinfonietta.
It is open to all young instrumentalists and singers who live in the Taunton area who are of grade six standard and above.
The first part of the competition will take place during the November Festival when finalists will be selected.
The final part will be held in Queen's Hall in the New Year.
There will also be a special prize for the most promising junior competitor, up to the age of 15.
The festival will take place during the week November 12-17.
