FIREFIGHTERS tackled a large rubbish fire in the early hours of this morning in a field along the A358.
Crews weree called to near West Bagborough at about 1.30am.
Four fire engines were called to the scene.
Supporting appliances attended from Taunton, Bridgwater, Nether Stowey and a specialist appliance from Wiveliscombe.
The fire involved wood and waste materials and a hedge was also involved.
Police were also called to assist with traffic duties.
