A WELLINGTON care home has been told to improve in its latest report.
Popham Court Care Home, Courtland Road, was given a ‘requires improvement’ rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) during its latest visit.
The report highlighted improvements were needed to make sure senior staff were clear about their roles and more activities and social stimulation needed to take place for the residents.
The report did highlight the home was ‘good’ for being safe and caring, but ‘required improvement’ in being effective, responsive and well-led.
A spokesman for the home said: “While Popham Court’s overall report was ‘requires improvement’, the inspectors recognised that our provision was safe and caring.
“Where CQC have reported that improvements are necessary, we have formulated an action plan and are taking steps to address these.”
