ROBBERS stole a number of mobile phones after bursting into an O2 store and threatening staff.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the thieves struck at the shop in Fore Street, Bridgwater, at 1.30pm on Wednesday (September 19).

Staff have described the three attackers as being of "Mediterranean appearance".

They only managed to grab a "small quantity" of phones, according to an Avon and Somerset Police spokesman.

The first culprit is around 5ft 10ins, with light brown short hair with a blond streak in it. He was wearing a black hooded top, black jeans and black shoes or trainers.

The second was 5ft 7ins/8ins, slim, and wearing a baseball cap with white stripes on, a black gillet with a red sleeved top underneath, dark trousers and shoes.

The third suspect was 5ft 9ins, of slim to medium build and wearing black tracksuit bottoms, white shoes, and a hat with red stripe around it.

The spokesman said: "We’ve carried out forensic enquiries at the scene and are reviewing CCTV footage as part of our ongoing investigation.
