FRIENDSHIP: Representatives from Taunton and Konigslutter on the new Tauntonring road in the German town
A LASTING tribute to the twinning links between Taunton and Konigslutter has been unveiled in the German town.
A road on a new housing estate has been named Tauntonring in honour of the 25-year link.
A party of 32 Friends of Taunton recently spent a week in Konigslutter, where they were put up by host families - their German counterparts will visit the county town next summer.
The programme of events included guided tours, visits and a procession through Konigslutter, with an exchange of gifts.
There was also a minute's silence in memory of former Friends member and Taunton Deane Mayor Ken Hayward, who died in July.
