POLICE are urging a man they have identified to come forward after a public appeal to find him.

Avon and Somerset Police Officers issued the appeal to find a man involved in incidents of indecent exposure on the Old Mineral Line between Washford and Watchet.

Police wanted to speak with him after two reports of a man indecently exposing himself to women. One on Friday, August 31 at around 11am, and the other on Sunday, September 9, at 10.30am.

A 'superb' response from the community led to the identification of the man - but police have still been unable to find him.

PC Adrian Endacott said: “We’d like to thank the public for their superb response to this appeal. We now believe we know who the man in the photograph is but have not yet been able to contact him.

"I’d urge him to come forward, and would also ask anyone who knows where he is to tell us, quoting reference 5218195291.”

Anyone with any other information which could help the investigation is asked to get in touch with police through www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact, or by calling 101, with the same reference number.

Officers continue to patrol the area
