TRAINSPOTTERS were out in force as the world's most famous steam engine passed through the area.
The Flying Scotsman, which lays claims to being the first locomotive to top 100mph, passed through Taunton on Thursday (October 4).
Enthusiast Chris Haig was among people lining the route as it headed off towards Exeter.
He captured the video at Norton Fitzwarren.
He said: "There were quite a few people waiting on the railway bridge crossing over from Norton into the farm fields, and even TV cameras were there.
"The train left Taunton at about 4.55pm, passing Norton a couple of minutes after, picking up speed and bellowing out smoke and steam. It was quite a sight to see."
The Flying Scotsman, built in 1924, is heading back through Somerset again today (Monday).
