A DEFENDANT nodded his agreement after the judge told him: "You're a bit of a prat, aren't you?"
Judge David Ticehurst yesterday (Thursday) sent Travis Griffiths to Exeter Prison for a night for breaching a suspended sentence order.
Griffiths, 19, of Trajans Way, Shepton Mallet, was back in Taunton Crown Court today, when the court heard the experience had been "horrible".
A terrified Griffiths pressed the emergency alarm after his cellmate threatened him and was moved to another holding cell.
He had been hauled before the court yesterday after failing to attend a number of unpaid work sessions, telling the judge he had been "lazy".
The judge made the "prat" remark after today adding another hour to the total of 200 hours of his original sentence.
