A man who was on a rooftop in Truro for more than 24 hours has finally been arrested by police.
He was first spotted at around 11am yesterday morning (Tuesday October 16) and began throwing tiles into the road, causing "substantial damage".
Wearing luminous cycling clothes and a helmet, the man alternated between roofs and caused disruption to traffic as more than a dozen police officers formed a cordon and closed off the adjacent George Street.
Richmond Hill leading to Truro Train Station and Ferris Town were also closed while the man was on the roof, in the interests of public safety.
