Falmouth volunteer lifeboat crew members welcomed Penryn mayor Shelley Peters when she visited to the station recently to present a cheque for £200.
The money was collected during the mayor’s Civic Service held on Exchequer Quay in Penryn on Sunday, July 15 this year. Falmouth’s Atlantic 75 inshore lifeboat Eve Pank attended the quayside service with crew members Tom Telford (Helm), Adam West and Tamsin Mulcahy.
The mayor, accompanied by the mayoress Lily Peters, presented the cheque to crew member Tamsin Mulcahy.
Shelley Peters said: "Having lived all my life by the sea, I understand the importance of what the volunteer lifeboat crews do. We are really proud to support their amazing work in helping to save lives at sea."
Falmouth RNLI Coxswain Jonathon Blakeston thanked the mayor and said: ‘We are very grateful to all who supported the charity at the Penryn service this year.’
