STUDENTS at a Taunton secondary school have been warned to be vigilant following reports of a man's "unusual behaviour" nearby.
A social media posting by Heathfield Community School advises youngsters not to walk home along if possible and to contact a trusted adult or the police if they are worried by anything.
The posting says: "We have been made aware of some unusual behaviour by an adult male after school on Monday and Tuesday this week, near the traffic lights just off new Hyde Lane footpath.
"Students, if you walk home this way please be vigilant, walk home with friends if you can and if you are worried about anything, contact a trusted adult or the police.
"Parents, please be aware of this if your children walk home and remind them of safe practices when out and about. We will also be reminding students about this in school."
