CHANGES: The Lloyds nightclub attached to Wetherspoons in Minehead will close in the New Year
ONE of Minehead's busiest nightclubs is set to close in the New Year.
Lloyds No.1 Bar, which is attached to the Duke of Wellington Wetherspoon's in the town centre, will go out with a bang with a New Years Eve party.
Wetherspoon's spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “We can confirm that the Lloyds Bar aspect of The Duke of Wellington will remain open up to and including New Years Eve and then it will close.
“This will have no affect on the main pub which will remain open and trading as normal.
“We appreciate that our customers who used the Lloyds Bar on Friday and Saturday nights will be disappointed, however, Wetherspoon has to make commercial decisions like these.
“There will be no staff losses.”
