YOUNG Libby Budden has been working hard making bracelets to sell to help fund her Disneyland dream.

Libby, aged 10, has a a genetic condition called Neurofibromatosis type 1 which causes tumours to grow along the nervous system.

She has been out in Angel Place and other events selling homemade bracelets to help fund a holiday of a lifetime to Disneyland Paris.

So far the family's fundraising efforts have raised £800 toward the £2,000 target.

Libby's mum Katrina said: "Libby is such a happy girl and always smiling despite the fact we attend so many hospital appointments.

"She has to have a lot of MRI scans to check on the tumour behind her eye and one on her spinal cord.

"If these continue to grow they could cause Libby to go blind or be unable to walk."

Katrina said the family had tried reaching out to charities for funding but Libby did not quite meet the criteria so they have taken it upon themselves to make her dream come true.

"Libby come up with the idea of making bracelets and we plan to continue selling them over the Christmas period," Katrina said.
